As you can imagine the logistics for a race where the ‘start’ line is inaccessible by land are complicated but with Covid restrictions the logistics for this race are just a little more difficult than normal. Please read the logistics information carefully and if you are unsure – call us ASAP (Joel- 0447496489) so we can make sure everyone gets out to the cape, with their paddle craft.

Paddle craft will travel via Military Barge to the cape and people will travel via Sealink Ferry to the cape.

  • Put your name on your boat so when it is unloaded from the barge we can call you over. The barge will not dock at the cape…you will paddle your boat to shore. You bags will be transferred to shore via safety boat.
  • Car keys etc can be left with us when you board the Sealink ferry. They can be collected at the finish line (Cape Pallarenda)
  • You can take a bag out to the cape, we suggest you take some snacks, sunscreen etc. This bag will be loaded onto a watersafety boat for transport back to the finish line. There may be a delay in getting this bag back (depends on how fast you paddle).
  • Make sure your bag is waterproof if you don’t want your gear wet! There is no guarantee it will stay dry while being transferred from boats or to shore. A garbage bag inside works well.
