The iconic and very popular Battle the Barge kicks off the 2018 calendar! When the Barge gets the end of the marina, it will sound its horn- competitors will then race over to Magnetic Island and back. The Barge has only been beaten three times in 6 years with 6 people beating it in 2016. However, the barge battled it out in 2017 and only one person managed to beat it in. Is it your turn beat the Barge? Let’s hope the barge forgets and the humans romp it home…
LONG COURSE
Course Description:
The race starts from the rock wall, competitors then race the Barge over to Magnetic Island and back. The course is 16km and the aim is to BEAT THE BARGE!

The short course starts at Tobruk pool beach, competitors paddling multiple laps to the rock wall and back. A safe sheltered course perfect for beginners.
